Managing multiple poultry farms with one operating standard
Plan a multi-site poultry rollout around shared references, local accountability, comparable reporting and a representative pilot before expanding.
One operating standard
Shared meaning. Local ownership.
- Identifiers
- Units
- Reporting periods
Capture local records.
Explain the exceptions.
Compare like periods.
Review the evidence.
A central dashboard does not create a common operating standard by itself. Multi-site management becomes more dependable when every farm can explain its records, use the same essential definitions and escalate an exception without losing the local context.
Principle 02
Separate local entry from regional review
The person closest to an event is often best placed to capture it, while another person checks completeness and exceptions. Define who enters, who reviews, who corrects and who escalates. One named owner for each step is clearer than a general instruction that everyone is responsible.
Test access with representative roles. A regional reviewer may need a broader operating view without unrestricted access to every employee or financial record. Demonstrate the exact boundaries before bringing more sites into scope.
